Valorant has launched their new Act for Episode 9. Act 3 comes with a new battle pass, map and agent changes, as well as a new premium bundle.

New Agent Change

Episode 9 of Act 3 will come with some changes to some fan-favorite agents to balance them out in your matches. Here are all the agents who have received changes in the new law.

gecko

Gekko has received changes to his overall abilities. Firstly, this game has made adjustments to provide pressure in retrieving Gekko’s Globule, reducing the time from 20 seconds to 15. Not only that, the time to get back his Globule will increase from 1 second to 1.5.

Another change that occurs to Gekko is that his signature ability Dizzy will be active for 1 second, not 1.5 after being thrown. The game also changed Dizzy’s targeting algorithm to be more reliable, and goop flash will also blind affected players’ minimaps.

Additionally, Wingman will get an increase in his concussion area, from 45 degrees to 65. When Wingman turns into a Globule after planting a Spike, the game has created a unique visual for him. Lastly, Ultimate Thrash Points will increase from 7 to 8.

Yoru

Yoru will also get significant changes to his Fakeout clone. Previously, various abilities did not show their effect on clones, making it easier to distinguish clones from real Yoru. Here are some of the abilities that will now affect Fakeout Yoru clones.

• Blind abilities such as Vyse’s Arc Rose and Gekko’s Dizzy.
• Vyse’s voice channel, which informs the player that he has blinded the enemy, will work on the clone.
• Neural Cypher Heist will now show clone locations.
• Clove’s Meddle will show the effects of rot on clones.

Jett and Skye

Jett’s Tailwind and Skye’s Trailblazer will receive minor changes in Ascent. This ability will now break through windows and continue its movement to the other side instead of stopping there.

New Map Update

New Glitch Map in Team Deathmatch

A new Glitch map will be added to the Team Deathmatch map rotation. This map will be 5^th map was added to TDM and will take place in a glitch-out version of the Maxbot arena. This map is only playable for the Team Deathmatch game mode.

New Map Rotation

There are new Act changes coming to Map Rotation for Competitive Queue. Icebox and Lotus will fall out of map rotation, and Pearl and Split will return to Competitive Queue.

New Sunset Map Update

Valorant has revamped the Sunset B site and reworked it to address its defenses. Changes were made to B Main, B Main Exterior, B Site, B Site Rear, B Boba, and Mid Courtyard. These changes were made to make it easier for hijackers to enter the location, but still provide post-planting play for the attackers.

New Battle Pass and New Bundles

With a new Chapter comes a new Battle Pass. You’ll need to pay 1,000 Valorant Points to unlock the Premium Battle Pass, which comes with weapon skins, player cards, companions, and sprays. Here’s a list of all the skins to look out for in the Battle Pass.

• Sheriff (Free Chapter 10 Gift)

Valorant will also release a new Premium Skin collection, Doombringer, at the start of the new Act. The collection is part of the Exclusive tier weapon skins, and features a metallic and fiery gear aesthetic similar to the Prelude to Chaos and Aemondir Collections.

Here are all the weapons present in the Doombringer Collection:

• Destroyer Battle Axe
• Disaster-Bringing Ghost
• Odin Bringer of Destruction
• Judge of Destruction
• Disaster Sheriff

The Doombringer Collection will have 4 levels to upgrade and has 3 other variants that come in Red, Blue, and Green. The inspection animation shows the weapon’s gears turning and spinning with lots of sparks. This will be the first skin collection to feature Battleaxe as a melee. The price of the collection has not been shown but is expected to be the same as any Exclusive tier weapon skin.

Episode 9 of Act 3 is now live along with new changes and the new Doombringer Collection will be released on October 24 for the Americas and October 25 for Asia-Pacific, Oceania, and EMEA.
