In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Mythal’s Essence is the main objective of the mission “Regrets of the Dreadwolf”. You need Mythal to give you essence or seize it beyond his control. Players should choose the first option over the second as they may want to avoid fighting an angry level 45 dragon. Get Mythal Essence

Fighting and killing Mythal to get his essence is undoubtedly an option, but keeping him alive will help you. In addition to having the elven goddess in your good graces, allying with Mythal ensures that she helps you during your fight with the Revenant Dragon during the Heart of Corruption quest. This terrifying Wyrm is one of the hardest bosses in DAV, so you’ll need all the help you can get.

After listening to Morrigan’s story, go to the location of the Mythal fragment to fight or convince her. The essence is a requirement to get the third alternative DAV ending. Convincing him requires you to answer four of his questions correctly regarding a specific topic.

Correct DAV Myth Answers

Before facing Mythal, we recommend players complete the Bellara mission. Doing this will give you an additional response to one of his lines, significantly improving your standing with him. • Best Answer: “Respect him”
• Another Good Answer: “Forget about him”
• Instant Fight: “I’m sorry that happened.”

Tip:

• You must choose at least three best answers to convince Mythal.
• Choosing “We stop Anaris” will secure Mythal’s support if you don’t choose any instant battle options.
• Selecting the Instant Battle option will immediately force you to fight Mythal regardless of your previous choices.
