Helldivers 2 has been part of Sony’s exclusive line-up since this game is considered the title of Playstation. Restrictions on PSN as predecessors

Sony is familiar with locking their PC port regions, especially for their mainstream entries such as Spider-Man, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and The Horizon Series. This decision forced players to buy PS5 because console games have no restrictions. However, their steam game is a key target.

In May 2024, Sony began to force Steam Helldivers 2 users to create a PSN account required to link to the game, which caused many reactions.
