LoL Welcome to Noxus Big Changes: Tier 3 Boots, Turret Respawn, and Atakhan Explained

League of Legends Season 1 Act 1: Welcome to Noxus is just around the corner, and we’ve got some big changes coming to the game. The highlight of the opening season was the introduction of Tier 3 Boots, Nexus Turret Spawn, and the new Atakhan Epic Monster. Here’s everything we know about these features.

New LoL Tier 3 Boots Explained

For a long time, summoners only had access to Tier 1 and 2 boots. But the latest update now introduces a Tier 3 variant with a Noxus themed variant. The only problem? To gain access to these new shoes, players must meet specific requirements. Here’s everything we know about Tier 3 items.

Feats of Strength

Only one team can upgrade their boots to Tier 3, and the team that can do so is the team that completes the Feat of Strength. Feats of Strength is a new mechanism aimed at securing objectives. There are objectives of this system, namely:

  • First Blood
  • First Tower
  • First Three Epic Jungle Monsters (Drakes, Herald, and 3 Void Grubs (6 Grubs count as 2)

Winning a Feat of Strength is a best of three scenario, so whoever meets two of the three conditions will get the buff. Winning FoS automatically upgrades Tier 2 boot to the following:

  • Victory Berserker Greaves: +5% Attack Speed
  • Triumphant Boots of Ionian Clarity: +5 Haste
  • Victory Wizard Shoes: +4 Magic Penetration
  • Victory Plated Armor: +5 Armor
  • Victorious Palm of Mercury: +5 Magic Resistance
  • Speed Victory Boots: +5 Movement Speed
  • Victory Synchronized Soul: +5 Movement Speed

Note: Cassiopeia cannot use boots, so she gets the following: Triumphant Serpentine Grace: 6 movement speed per level.

These are not Tier 3 Boots but an upgraded Tier 2 version. Players can only get the Tier 3 version after winning the Feat of Strength and owning at least two Legendary items.
