Path of Exile fans are sad to hear that the highly anticipated PoE 2 Early Access will be delayed for another three weeks. The game was originally scheduled to go live around mid-November, but the beta will be moved to December 6 after the developer decided to make some adjustments. However, the reason for the delay is completely legitimate, which many players understand.

PoE 2 Delayed for MTX Integration

In addition to new classes and content, one of the most notable features of the upcoming PoE 2 is integrating Path of Exile MTX into the second game. Gamers were able to move all their purchases from previous titles to PoE 2, which was greatly appreciated by many players. However, this step also meant that GGG also had to integrate 10 years of data into the system.

GGG also intends for the MTX data integration to work both ways so players can access cosmetics they purchased via PoE 2 to the Path of Exile base. Why Not Just Use Placeholders and Implement MTX Integration Later

GGG’s decision to delay early access to further strengthen and refine data integration was the right decision.
