There were 12 passengers and two crew on board the plane, and there were no survivors. The tragedy occured in the remote Barcelos province, which is situated approximately 400 kilometers from the state’s capital, Manaus. “The passengers were going to the location to practice recreational fishing and the crash occurred due to bad weather. It was raining heavily at the time of landing,” CNN Brasil reported.

The ill-fated aircraft involved in the previous crash was a Cessna 206, which was transporting seven individuals along a route from Araracuara, located in Amazonas province, to San Jose del Guaviare, a city situated in Guaviare province. The aircraft found itself in a dire situation in the early hours of May 1, as it issued a Mayday alert due to engine failure.
