Valorant Update on Cheating and Potential Ban Wave

Cheating has always been a hot topic in the Valorant community, because players and Dev suffer from hackers. However, it seems that Vanguard Anti-Cheat has become more active lately, because there has been an increase in the number of accounts that ended. And Riot has confirmed this.

Vanguard Banning every 37 seconds

In a new Valorat News post, it has been said that Valorant has banned 3.6 million accounts over the past four years, which means a fraudster is prohibited every 37 seconds. These restrictions include the first and recurrent violators. The graphics in this article show that fraudsters can play between 13 and 15 matches before Vanguard can detect and forbid it. Although this is still a worrying number, the guarantee that anti-cheat machines identify fraudsters make the system better than most games.

The account surge is prohibited

In a post X, it was revealed that the number of prohibitions issued during December 2024 and January 2025 had jumped beyond 12,000, including hardware, fraud, and manual prohibitions. Valorant has reiterated that they hit harder now about their loud actions on the prohibition.

More updates about Valoran Status

Valorant developers give us an update about Valorant status about fraud. They revealed how they handled the current situation, especially with a surge of fraudsters. While Vanguard has done extraordinary jobs, hackers from each regional server have developed ways to create more cheats. Fortunately, the developer has tried to fight this personalized hack by developing technology that serves each region.

Fraudsters will not be removed permanently

While Devs works hard to fight fraudsters, doubt that fraud can be fully eradicated. That’s because hackers are constantly developing and renewing their cheats to exceed the development of anti-pemecah, so while Vanguard continues to get an increase, hacking will also develop. Fortunately, Valorants one step ahead of this situation, because they were offered a refund of RR money for those who lost the match involving fraudsters.
